Who We are?
B ITAN . started its journey in the year 2005 with special focus on Adolescent & Youth Development Project. Now BITAN, is a state level NGO, 15 years have already passed with continuous learning and achievements. Its head office is located in Budge Budge, Kolkata-137 and other 3 project offices from where all projects are operated in 16 districts. BITAN is very much well-known NGO for its expertise with the issues related to Reproductive & Child Health Rights, Solid & Liquid Resource Management, Adolescent & Youth Development, Employability Skill Development & Livelihood and Disaster Management.
BITAN is working in development sector by partnering with government and private agencies. It has got enough exposure to handle the ITC-CSR, GSK-CSR, Ganges Jute-CSR and Samsung-CSR projects in West Bengal. Last more than one decade, we have been also working with various Government Departments viz. Women & Child Development & Social Welfare, Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Panchayet & Rural Development, Govt. of WB and Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India. BITAN works closely with concerned State, District and Block level authorities and build a significant partnership for effective program implementation.
BITAN is very much strong in community mobilization and there are various instances where BITAN has strong footprint to make successful intervention in community led initiatives.
